What is a Unix Timestamp?

A Unix timestamp (also called Unix time, POSIX time, or Epoch time) is a system for tracking time that counts the number of seconds (or milliseconds) that have elapsed since the Unix epoch — January 1, 1970, 00:00:00 UTC (excluding leap seconds). It is widely used in programming, databases, APIs, and system logs as a universal time representation that is independent of time zones.

How to Use the Timestamp Converter

Convert between Unix timestamps and human-readable dates in two ways:

1

Enter year, month, day, hour, minute, second, and millisecond in the left panel. Click "Convert" to get the corresponding Unix timestamp in both 10-digit and 13-digit formats.

3

Copy Results
